Registering a company in Serbia and opening a business bank account in Serbia has a unique advantage: directors and shareholders do not need a residence permit. This differs from the UAE, where you must have a residence permit to register a company and open a business bank account (in Abu Dhabi or Dubai).
We allow shareholders and directors to acquire a residence permit in Serbia upon registering their company. This can be done through either an electronic or traditional process by submitting all necessary documentation to the relevant government body in the Republic of Serbia. This type of residence permit requires company registration, opening a personal non-resident bank account, and submitting any other necessary documentation.
To register a company in Serbia, two options are available - either through a power of attorney or in person. The founding act of the future company must be certified by a notary. It should include the company name, headquarters, shareholders, founding capital, shares held in the founding capital, and powers of the company's assembly and directors. Once the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Serbia issues a decision on company registration, on that day, the company is considered registered and assigned a company registration number and tax identification number (PIB).
The entire process of company registration involves organizing the process of composing the founding deed and power of attorney (if registering through a power of attorney) and submitting the necessary documentation for opening a legal entity in electronic form, certified by a person with a qualified electronic signature and authorized by law to do so.
The next step is to open a business bank account to continue with the process.
Shareholders and directors are not required to have a regulated residence permit or a business visa in Serbia to open a business account. A notarized extraordinary power of attorney can be used for this purpose without shareholders and directors needing to be physically present. Alternatively, the director can personally visit the bank to open the account.
We always strive to open the company account as quickly as possible. Once the account is created, the client will receive a business visa card from certain banks we collaborate with.
